Octum attracted on the trade fair Control 2010 more visitors than in the previous year. At the same time it was noticed that the demand for automated inspection systems seems to gain ground again, also from those industries suffering most from the actual financial and economical crisis.

Octum displayed on the trade fair the augmented functionality of it`s system software OCTUMISEr for networked smart cameras & surface defect inspection of metallic parts as live demonstrations as well as new applications in a continuously running presentation. Visitors where mainly interested in surface defect inspection and 3D in-line inspections, many visitors coming with concrete projects and samples to the booth. The short lead times of the projects mentioned are another sign that investment is restarting also in industries like automotive, metallic parts processing and plastics. We are confident to transform some of the concrete leads from this trade fair into real turnover in a short term and are looking forward to a successful new fiscal year.
